Nutrition for Surgery
At Tune Health, we help you optimize your nutrition before and after surgery, so you can make a strong recovery and get back to the things you love.
Are you Prepared for a Successful Surgery?
Studies indicate that approximately 50% of adults do not consume enough protein. Our program focuses on nourishing the body with the nutrients you need to optimize muscle mass, mobility and immune function.
Our nutrition philosophy is below:
-
We developed a simple and focused approach to what matters most for people undergoing surgery: protein!
-
Nutrition should center around nourishment. Meeting your protein and micronutrient needs is the priority. We don’t ask you to restrict or remove foods you enjoy.
-
When your metabolism is under-fueled, you are likely to experience delayed healing. Our approach focuses on metabolic restoration via nourishment.
-
While low appetite can be common, we provide strategies to help you continue nourishing your body even when you may not feel hungry.
